Students & Campus Life is looking for a collaborative, solution and education orientated Academic Integrity Support to join our team. The position will assist administrative and instructional teams with academic integrity related matters and transfer credit assessments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communicate and participate as a team with School Leadership, other instructional assistants and members of the NAIT community to ensure quality and consistent processes.
  • Collect timely and detailed-oriented academic misconduct data and report findings to instructors for faculty led decisions.
  • Provide clear written communication, as well as plan and coordinate meetings with students and instructors.
  • Work with program Chairs, instructors and the Records Office in support of timely and consistent transfer credit assessments.
  • Create and promote a culture of excellence, cooperation, consultation, and respect.
  • Work closely with the Academic Integrity team to promote a proactive, education driven culture of Academic Integrity.
  • Act as a resource to faculty and students on academic integrity policy, procedures, information, and training.
  • Adapt an innovative and solution-oriented mindset to address Academic Misconduct concerns.
  • Support with the development of Academic Integrity educational content and resources.
  • Support with the coordination and delivery of academic integrity programs and initiatives (for. e.g. workshops and webinars).
  • Conduct prevention focused research regarding emerging and ongoing academic integrity challenges.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with students, staff and instructors.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate with sensitivity, diplomacy, tact and confidentiality.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Teams etc.).
  • Action oriented - taking on new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy, and enthusiasm.
  • Interpersonal savvy - relating openly and comfortably with diverse groups of people.
  • Ability to work independently on a variety of simultaneous projects.
  • Mediation and conflict resolution skills would be an asset
  • An understanding of and prior experience with post-secondary academic integrity procedures and resources would be an asset.
  • Proficient with technology, learning management and student database systems would be an asset.

Qualifications:

  • Related certificate, diploma or degree
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.

Applicants with education credentials earned outside of Canada should have their credentials evaluated by World Education Services or the International Qualifications Assessment Service (IQAS).

Remuneration: $49,886.20 - $62,451.48 annually, plus a comprehensive benefits package.

This position is covered by the Alberta Union of Provincial Employees (AUPE) Collective Agreement.
