Job Posting: Emergency Dispatcher Position

Location: Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta

Wage: Starting at $23.98 per hour

Schedule -Full-Time Schedule: 12-hour rotating shifts (days, nights, weekends, and statutory/religious holidays)

Key Responsibilities:

· Receive emergency calls and gather information regarding incidents.

· Dispatch appropriate emergency services to the location of incidents.

· Transmit necessary information to field personnel via radio or telephone systems.

· Maintain accurate records of all actions and timings during emergencies.

· Oversee CCTV cameras and access control alarms.

· Answer routine telephone and radio calls.

· Manage the basic operation and response of security alarm systems.

· Control site access for deliveries and visitors.

Requirements:

· Minimum of 5 years of security experience, preferably in an industrial setting. Previous dispatch experience is preferred.

· Strong knowledge of radio and telephone communications; proficient in Microsoft Office programs.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; ability to communicate clearly and effectively.

· Ability to make sound decisions using available information and respond appropriately to changing circumstances.

· Excellent prioritization skills and multi-tasking ability.

· Must be able to work with minimal supervision and demonstrate a strong attendance record.

· High school diploma required.

· Must have an individual Security Officer’s License through Alberta Solicitor General.

· Applicants must be willing to work a rotating schedule, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays (Mazeppa schedule).
