Job Title: Security Patroller and Dispatcher

Location: Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta

Hourly Payrate: $21 -$25 per hour

Schedule: Day and night rotational schedule

Overview:

We are looking for diligent and dependable security professionals to join our team in Fort Saskatchewan. The ideal candidate will have experience in security patrolling and dispatching, along with strong communication skills, keen attention to detail, and a dedication to ensuring a safe environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Respond promptly to emergency and security-related calls via radio and telephone.
  • Communicate effectively with field personnel using radio and telephone systems.
  • Monitor CCTV cameras and access control alarms.
  • Prioritize calls for service and allocate manpower efficiently.
  • Conduct foot and vehicle patrols, documenting observations accurately.
  • Prepare detailed reports on incidents and activities.
  • Take quick and effective action in response to security incidents and emergencies.

Systems Managed:

  • Access Control, Paging, Telecommunication, and Radio Systems
  • Headcount Assembly
  • Lightning, Weather Monitoring
  • Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD)
  • CCTV

Requirements

  • Must possess Alberta Security Guard License
  • Valid Driver's license and recent driver's abstract
  • Eligible to work full-time hours in Canada
  • Able to clearly and effectively communicate in English
  • High school diploma or equivalent/GED
  • Physically capable of standing or walking for long periods, climbing stairs, and occasionally lifting or carrying up to 20 kilograms.
  • Possess strong computer skills - including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Able to analyze situations quickly and make sound decisions.
  • Demonstrate the ability to appropriately respond to changing circumstances.
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Possession of First Aid and CPR certification is an asset.
  • Grant MacEwan Emergency Communications Certificate (or equivalent), 911 Operator experience, or previous dispatcher-related experience considered an asset.
