JOB OVERVIEW

Reporting to the Tech Pubs Group Supervisor, and as an initiative-taking Tech Pubs Support, you will perform a range of duties that provide technical documentation support for various business units at KF Aerospace such as Maintenance and Repair, Quality Assurance, Engineering, Production and Overhaul. You will also interact with customers to update their current maintenance documentation on our Intranet.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develops a working knowledge of Library resources, technical drawings, and aircraft systems
  • Record, control, order, process and amend all technical publications as required, including web-based publications at main base, sub-bases and customer supported libraries
  • Order all library documents, manuals, and related materials for various departments, libraries
  • Tracking Service Difficultly Reports (SDR's) and Structural Significant Details (SSD's)
  • Assist QA in distributing, tracking of Quality Manuals, amendments, and training
  • Provide Desktop publishing support for QA Manuals and Forms, as necessary
  • Maintain a current audit sheet of all documentation
  • Reviews, edits, tracks, and files mandatory inspection reports
  • Responds to internal and external requests for information, according to direction/instruction in the Procedures manual including:
  1. Convair and/or KF engineering approved documents and manuals
  2. Convair and/or KF Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) documents
  3. Modification supplements for Aircraft Flight Manuals, Maintenance Manuals, and Illustrated Parts Catalog
  • Posting of all library-related HTML documentation to our company intranet
  • Maintain SharePoint Library to reflect current revision status and document location
  • Respond to distribution tasks generated by Engineering in Laserfiche
  • Maintain Master DND Library and co-ordinate material requests from Ottawa as requested for aircraft support
  • Conduct annual DND Audits on an issued DND manuals and drawings

REQUIREMENTS

  • Post-Secondary certification in Records Management or Office Administration
  • Minimum 2 years of Office Administration work preferred
  • Proficient in FrameMaker, Laserfiche, Word, Excel, Internet, SharePoint, and Adobe Professional
  • Strong organizational multitasking skills
  • Strong business writing skills
  • This position is a stand-alone position therefore the successful candidate must be an initiative-taker, be able to prioritize, and use their research skills
  • Must be a collaborator who uses effective communication skills
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality
  • Possess or able to receive a Canadian government Controlled Goods Clearance

SALARY

The salary range for this role is KF wage band level 4, $44,968.26 - $56,210.32 annually. The technical skill level is assessed during the selection process. Note: The salary range maximum signifies full job knowledge.
