As Business Relationship Support you will:support our Business Relationship Managers (BRMs) and The Regional Director, Business Banking (RDBB). Your responsibilities will include collecting and preparing annual review documentation, preparing reports, liaising with external parties such as insurance and merchant service providers.

Please note, we are open to candidates in the Surrey/Langley/Abbotsford area.

What you'll do:

  • Act as primary support to the Regional Director Business Banking & aligned Business Relationship Managers & their members. Review and action various reports supporting Portfolio Management.
  • Open new business memberships and support with the new business member onboarding process.
  • Prepare and document letters of credit reviews and lending renewals. Under the guidance of BRMs negotiates fees, collects fees, and sets up banking and diary systems.
  • ·Calculate and prepare loan payouts by applying established penalty and interest formulas. Prepare, process and complete mortgage payouts and discharges through Atsource and manually, with approval by Management.
  • Support BRMs with annual reviews, this can include running various credit reports and pulling land title and personal property security act (PPSA) searches.
  • Provide support directly and indirectly to members including but not limited to Business Online and cash management services under the guidance of business relationship managers. Proactively refer members to BRMs as necessary.
  • Maintain knowledge of personal and business products and services offered by the Prospera Credit Union.

What you bring:

  • 2 - 3 years in a front-line position within a financial institution with exposure to lending; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated capability in decision making and critical thinking.
  • Proven ability to plan, schedule, organize and prioritize work priorities.
  • Knowledge of cross-selling techniques and an understanding of banking systems, applications and technology.
  • Understanding of business lending and deposit products and services and related policies, procedures, documentation requirements and legal processes is an asset
  • Skill in accounting and financial statements is an asset.
