Our Story Commissionaires BC is a Canadian, not-for-profit security/enforcement organization that has been in business since 1927. Our mandate is to give back to those who served and continue to serve in our communities and country.
Commissionaires provides security services for over 200 sites and are located in over 110 communities across the province. Our client base runs from the Federal Government to local municipalities, airports, industrial sectors, and commercial/residential buildings. Our guards are not only behind the scenes providing security and access control, but front and centre providing valued customer service to the public.
As the Assistant Supervisor -Fingerprinting Services you will be contributing to the financial success and growth of the organization through the provision of our Fingerprinting Services to our clients, security professionals and general public. Your key responsibilities will be to coordinate and administer the day to day activities of the fingerprinting services office.
This position is based in our Vancouver office with occasional work in our Surrey Central Mall location.
This position will see you working Monday to Friday 8am till 4pm, but with flexibility to cover 9.30am till 5.30pm in Surrey.
Payrate $24.50/hr then $26/hr after 6 months training period.

Some of your responsibilities include:
Efficient delivery of all fingerprinting service offerings including; police clearances, public works clearances, Pardons & Waivers Services service and future new offerings
Ensures that applications are completed accurately
Liaises with various institutions and organizations relating to clearances and fingerprinting issues
Ensures the security and privacy of all documents
Documents all services for invoicing purposes
Ensures accurate handling of all financial transactions
Liaises with fingerprinting lead division as required (Ottawa)
Contributes to the success of the department by maintaining general operations
Liaises with Supervisor/Management regarding the day-to-day operations of fingerprinting services
Investigates and resolves problems as required.
Must-Haves:
2 years' experience in a customer service, retail and/or security role
Ability to successfully complete security clearances (Public Works level 2, requires 10 years in Canada)
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
Willingness to travel between our Surrey and Vancouver offices
Professional interpersonal and customer service skills
Ability to prioritize, multi-task and work under pressure in a dynamic environment
Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills
Strong administrative skills
Nice-to-haves:
Previous experience working in a security related industry and issuing security clearances
OFA 1
Having a BC Driver's license in good standing is an asset.
