Under the general direction of the Director, Operations, this position is responsible for the overall management and profitability of slot operations and Guest Services departments at the site level. Assists with the planning and directing of slot operations strategic plans. Develops performance objectives and delivers performance evaluations for direct reports. Implements all new slot operations initiatives as directed. Actively participates in recruitment and hiring process. Ensures adherence to the Company's policies and procedures, motivates and leads by example and supports Great Canadian's learning environment while establishing a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members.

Key Accountabilities

  • Provides leadership, direction and mentoring to slot operations and guest services department at the site level
  • Develops performance objectives and delivers performance evaluations for direct reports
  • Implements slot operations strategic plans as directed
  • Oversees changes to slot floor plan
  • Assists in developing slot operations promotions
  • Reviews revenue and labor reports
  • Makes recommendations on opportunities for efficiencies
  • Verifies jackpots and provides payment
  • Resolves customer disputes; reports irregularities, disputes and suspicious activities; reviews and prepares CSR Incident Reports
  • Prepares and submits slot report
  • Monitors inventory and supplies
  • Liaises and communicates with all appropriate operational departments
  • Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
  • Manages other initiatives as required

Education and Qualifications

  • Must be available to work a flexible schedule to support operational needs
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in slot operations management
  • Experience leading a team in a unionized environment an asset
  • Serving it Right certification
  • Computer proficiency in MS Office
  • Ability to successfully obtain a Gaming License

Work Environment Considerations

  • Regular office and casino environment, non-traditional work hours may be required in certain circumstances, some travel may be required
