The Glenn Carpenter Centre is located within Saint John on 220 acres of outdoor space with a lake, hiking trail, lodge, picnic shelters and the new 8000 square foot Crabtree Hall. The goal of the Glenn Carpenter Centre is to empower youth through outdoor education, recreation and leadership opportunities while providing health, fitness and recreation programs for all ages.
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Manager, Glenn Carpenter Centre is a full-time leadership position with the YMCA of Southwestern New Brunswick reporting to the General Manager of Health, Membership & Recreation. They will provide leadership to the Glenn Carpenter Centre in a strategic and efficient manner. Through the Y's mission, vision, and guiding principles the Manager will help establish and implement a program and facility plan to increase programs and participant numbers.
The Manager is responsible for three primary operational areas: Outdoor education and recreation programs; afterschool and day camp programs and facility rentals.
This role is part of the HMR Leadership Team, ensuring onsite support coverage during peak operational hours. This, along with programs and events will require you to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
