About the Organization
The Canadian Research Initiative in Substance Matters Atlantic node (CRISM Atlantic) is one of five nodes within the CRISM network, a Canada-wide intervention research network in the field of substance use. The CRISM network supports research projects that transfer scientific knowledge towards the development of new treatments, including pharmaceutical approaches, psychological interventions and services for people who use substances.
Job Summary
Reporting to the Principal Investigator, the Training Support Platform Coordinator will be responsible to develop and coordinate national training activities, training placements and training related communications. This role will work as part of the CRISM Atlantic Node Core Operating Team, and with CRISM National counterparts.
Key Responsibilities
  • Developing and coordinating national training activities and programs.
  • Drafting documentation, collaborating with mentors and mentees.
  • Development and oversight of program assessments.
  • Managing CRISM training budget and investigating avenues for additional funding.
  • Coordination of training sub-contracts.
  • Record keeping.
Note
Hybrid role: The successful applicant will be eligible for hybrid work (combination of in-person work on campus and remote work) as agreed by all parties based on operational requirements and university guidelines.

Required Qualifications
  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources or Adult Education with minimum two years of related training and development experience.
  • Experience securing funding, developing communications, training plans and policies.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and related training systems.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with effective project and time management skills.
  • Ability to work well both individually and as part of a national multidisciplinary team.
Assets
  • Experience evaluating effectiveness of training program and members involved
  • Knowledge in substance use intervention research and understanding of the research pipeline (academic & other funding structures)
  • Bilingual (verbal and written English and French)
