About the Opportunity

As the first point of contact, the PDDP Customer Service Representative (CSR) must be professional and supportive in all communications and work closely with all team members and management to deliver the best possible service in a timely manner. This job incorporates a number of duties including being the front-line communication between end users, procurement & supply chain teams. Performing all clerical duties as assigned in support of ordering supplies and inventory control. Providing great customer service by responding to any urgent requests or general inquiries. Identifying customer issues and opportunities to improve the supply chain experience.

About You

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

  • Grade 12 or equivalent
  • Willingness to participate in ongoing education programs
  • Generate orders for stock and specially handled products requested by customers, including faxed and emailed orders from EHS and Nursing Care Facilities.
  • Submit drop shipments orders to vendors.
  • Enters emergency orders.
  • Answers phone for the office and takes care of incoming faxes.
  • Prioritize email, sending to appropriate person at PDDP.
  • Familiar with Warehouse Management Systems.
  • Working knowledge and proficiency with a variety of computer software and programs
  • Demonstrated planning, organizational, priority setting skills and attention to detail

More About You

  • Ability to work in a self-directed environment and also effectively within an interdisciplinary team
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills as well as leadership skills
  • Working knowledge of the SAP computer system is preferred
  • Previous experience in a central stores/purchasing environment preferred
  • Knowledge of inventory control preferred
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of and current relevant experience with Microsoft Office
  • Demonstrated understanding of the role of Materials Management Service in the delivery of patient care and understanding of how errors may affect medical treatment and cause financial loss
  • PLEASE NOTE: This position requires considerable standing, moving, bending, kneeling, and lifting of heavy and awkward objects
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Hours

  • Permanent full-time position; 70 hours biweekly

Compensation and Benefits

$23.35 - $25.39 Hourly

Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
