Job Summary
The Registrar's Office (RO) is a large, multi-unit, multi-site operation involved in the entire academic experience of Dalhousie students, from recruitment and admissions through to convocation and beyond. Reporting to the Manager, Service Experience, the Service Representative acts as the first point of contact for students at the Registrar's Office. Provide exceptional service to prospective and current students, members of the university community, and the public.
Key Responsibilities
  • Assist and advise clients in person, via email, phone and chat on a wide range of university and academic regulations, policies, procedures, deadlines, fees, student aid programs etc.; screen, assess and respond to inquiries, complaints, concerns, etc.
  • Process and upload digital transcripts, and other documentation to the MyCreds network and process paper transcript requests.
  • Collect fees and process Registrar's Office deposits, ensuring accuracy of the amount received.
  • Support students with registration policies, procedures and deadlines and register students after online eligibility ends.
  • Guide students on the self-serve tools available to them in Dal Online.
Note
Due to operational requirements, the successful applicant is required to work in-person on campus.
Required Qualifications
  • Business/Office Administration diploma, with minimum three to five years' related experience (or equivalent combination of training and experience).
  • Proficient communication, interpersonal, organization, and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proven ability to author clear, organized documentation.
Assets
  • Undergraduate degree.
  • Experience within a Registrar's Office.
  • Knowledge of Ellucian Banner system.
  • Knowledge of Slate and/or MyCreds.
