As a Vendor Collections Assistant, you will ensure the accuracy of vendor breakdowns and remittance of rebates to Dealers are correctly reflected in the systems. You will support the administration and reconciliation of vendor income programs by maintaining records, processing payments, and assisting with internal and external inquiries. Led by the Vendor Income Manager, this opportunity suits someone who is detail-orientated, analytical, and enjoys working in a collaborative environment.
Please note this is a 20-month term role.

Maintain and update Excel spreadsheets for Dealer purchase history. Upload and balance rebates on Oracle.
Generate reports for the Accounts Payable department to initiate payments, helping to ensure that payments are processed in a timely fashion.
Enter and maintain information on Microsoft Access Database.
Develop, maintain and distribute reports on a monthly, or as needed basis to various departments.
Assist with queries from Dealers, Regional Managers, and other departments within Home Hardware regarding rebates.
General department duties, filing of programs, remittance summary sheets and photocopying.
Processing Supplier contracts, updating systems and providing summaries of contracts.
Processing and keying credit note and invoices to supplier accounts.
Responsible for creating journal entries to clear supplier deposits.
We're looking for:
Secondary School Diploma, with post-secondary courses in Business or Accounting.
A minimum of 2 years' experience in a finance, accounting, or administrative support role, preferably involving vendor or rebate programs.
Excellent computer literacy, specifically Microsoft Excel (intermediate to advanced knowledge), Word and Access.
Good mathematical and analytical skills, with the ability to manipulate large spreadsheets, work in numerical detail to a high degree of accuracy.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Ability to work with minimal supervision as well as part of the department group.
Ability to prioritize and meet required monthly deadlines.
Working knowledge of Home Hardware's current purchasing and payment systems would be an asset.
The ability to be onsite three days a week at our corporate office in St. Jacobs, to accommodate our hybrid working model.
