DHL Express currently has an opening for a CARM Customer Support Intern (3 month contract) in our facility in Brampton, ON..

How will you contribute to the success of DHL?

  • Regular professional interaction with customers via phone, email, or chat to provide support
  • Prepare documents, presentations and data to accurately display findings
  • Reach out to customers who have not met CARM requirements and ensure they take the necessary actions in a timely manner
  • Escalate unresolved issues to appropriate departments or higher management
  • Manage and prioritize multiple customer cases and accounts at once
  • Provide feedback to management regarding recurring customer issues and suggest improvements to processes.
  • Identify patterns or recurring issues and propose solutions to ensure customer compliance with CARM
  • Recognize potential compliance risks and providing proactive solution
  • Accurately review and process information, ensuring that all tasks are completed with precision

Do you have what it takes?

  • Previous experience in customs, import/export, or logistics is mandatory, with a strong understanding of industry regulations and processes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to explain complex customs processes to customers in simple terms
  • Strong attention to Detail
  • Strong flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to manage shifting priorities and handle a dynamic work environment
  • Knowledge of CARM processes, requirements, and familiarity with Canadian customs regulations and import requirements
  • Prior experience in customer support roles, especially in a complex, regulatory environment, is preferred
  • Experience in formal customs clearance processes is also a strong advantage
