The General Manager of the Cuisine Centre (Steamplicity & Commissary Operations) is responsible for leading the production of over 1 million patient-care meals annually and will oversee the creation of freshly prepared meals to support cross sector business within Compass.
Now, if you were to come on board as our General Manager, we'd ask you to do the following for us:
• Prioritize health and safety through the proactive execution of safety programs and maintain all HSQA standards within a HACCP-level environment
• Lead, mentor, and manage a team, conducting performance reviews, setting expectations, and implementing training and development programs.
• Build an inclusive and supportive team culture that is focused on performance.
• Manage direct delivery systems servicing accounts across Southern Ontario
• Work with our COE and cross sector teams to identify and support new business opportunities
• Optimize operations, streamline processes, and enhance productivity. Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety regulations, and quality standards.
Think you have what it takes to be our General Manager? We're committed to hiring the best talent for the role. Here's how we'll know you are the best fit:
• Minimum of 5 years of experience with commercial and industrial manufacturing equipment.
• Post-secondary degree/diploma in hospitality and/or engineering.
• Available to provide daily in-unit support with production starting at 6:00 a.m.
• Experience with large scale, fast paced, food production an asset.
• Excellent communication skills (oral and written).
• Intermediate level expertise with Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Ability to maintain excellent relationships with Compass associates, our Leadership team, vendors and customers.
• Strong problem solving, organization and coordination skills.
• Excellent leadership, coaching and supervisory abilities.
• Positive, energetic personality.
• Solid experience in fiscal management.
• Highly organized with attention to detail and strong ability to multi-task.
