Would you like to launch your career with one of the most successful logistics organizations worldwide? Here at Kuehne+Nagel, our Mississauga site is looking for Customer Care Specialist to join our Road Logistics team.

Your Role

You will be accountable for maintaining excellent service levels for our internal and external customers through accurate data entry, continuous process improvement and the prompt resolution of issues.

Your Responsibilities

  • You will respond to customer enquiries via emails/calls and build strong relationships with our client base
  • Analyze needs of customers, determine margins and prepare quotations
  • Ensure maximum profitability by overseeing cost effective rate negotiation with providers
  • Track and Trace the shipments and update the data into operating system
  • Generating invoices to clients and provide POD's to consignees and/or customer partners whenever needed
  • Administer all carrier pre-qualification approvals and ensure that only ReTrans approved carriers are used to execute transportation services
  • Participate in sourcing carriers for new and existing activity
  • Validate and approve carrier invoices
  • Provide feedback to Supervisor/Manager on a regular basis regarding work flow and any customer related issues
  • Assist with planning for new customer implementations
  • Drive cost saving through optimal freight management
  • Provide spot quotes to customers as needed and manage Return/exceptions
  • Provide KPIs and customer specific reporting as required
  • Delivery appointment bookings as needed
  • Works with carrier to manage exceptions and load modifications from process
  • Pursue continuous improvement initiatives to drive increased productivity and service levels

Your Skills and Experiences

  • HS Diploma/Bachelor's degree in supply chain management or similar field
  • 2+ years of experience in a similar role
  • 2+ years of experience in Pharmaceutical/Manufacturing/Retail distribution center environment is preferred
  • Knowledge of various production and quality systems (GxP, GMP, ISO standards) will be an asset
  • Advanced computer skills, including full proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Advanced Excel)
  • CIFFA certification is an asset.
