Position Summary
Thales requires an Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Officer - Technical Writer to support the integrated logistic support and configuration management of the LC4ISR system; development and maintenance of documentation that focus on configuring, operating, and maintaining the system, subsystem, or platform, in accordance with the Equipment Breakdown Structure or System Family Tree; Documentation gaps analysis and the Support Plan development for Land Command Support System (LCSS) and Domains.
Key Areas of Responsibility
Prepare, author, and/or revise technical documents such as the Canadian Forces Technical Orders (CFTOs), Logistical Support Analysis Records (LSARs), Equipment Family Trees (EFTs) and other Misc. Reports as necessary to support improvements to the technical data package and support solution.
Review products of the technical data package in collaboration with engineers to ensure that the technical data reflects the latest system/equipment configuration, is complete, accurate and consistent across the support solution.
Coordinate the activities related to the verification of the final technical data package, track progress and report status.
Analyze Document Change Requests and liaise with technical contributors as appropriate to address the request and prepare or coordinate the development of the Change Package to identify the technical data package changes and revisions.
Implement the technical data package changes and revisions.
Review and provide concurrence to changes and revisions of the technical data package ensuring the products are technically accurate, logically presented, consistent with the appropriate national defense specifications, formats, and customer requirements.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in engineering or a Certification in Engineering Technology, in the fields of mechanical, electrical, or industrial technology.
Minimum of 10 years of proven industry experience with 5 years of demonstrated experience with the production, revision, publishing and/or coordination of technical data package products including technical publications, systems and equipment manuals, technical drawings and associated lists.

Special Position Requirements
Primary work site will be at 1 Chrysalis Way, Ottawa, Ontario, with occasional travel required to client's Ottawa location.
