About this opportunity:

Location - Ottawa, Canada

12 - 16 Month CO-OP

We are now looking for a Product Support CO-OP to join our team in Ottawa. As a member of the team, you will be providing technical support to customers utilizing our products. The primary objectives include ensuring the smooth integration of our products into customer networks, and promptly addressing any arising issues. This job demands close interaction with BNEW Development teams, Systems & Technology, and Product Line and Customers. This role will give excellent opportunity to be exposed to various functions across the different engineering units. You will support and learn alongside senior engineers and developers who are experts in their respective fields to accomplish your goals and create continuous improvements for the company.

What you will do:

  • Perform setup of products, testing and fault reproduction in E// labs for BBs, radios, UEs and HW equipment.
  • Troubleshooting and analysis of customer issues according to established processes (CSR, Design consultations, TRs etc) and be an interface to design for issue resolution.
  • Leverage data analytics team to understand N/W impact and background by translating the technical requirements to Network data analytics team and analysing the results.
  • Should be able to support and execute deployment activities in own lab or network environment, and in a customer network.
  • Enhance technical proficiency through knowledge sharing, training, mentorship, and continuous learning initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and innovation in products and processes to either solve technical problems or have better customer value.
  • Develop RAN/ERS knowledge with the ability to dive into specific areas.
  • Develop Customer Insight and mindset.
  • Develop skills in troubleshooting and customer support.
  • Deliver Results and Meet Customer Expectations.
  • Network with people from different teams.
  • Address Customers and Senior management concerns and inquiries.

The skills you bring:

  • Studying in a related technical field (Electrical Engineering or related field) for bachelor's or master's degree with at least 1 semester remaining of school after CO-OP concludes
  • Comfortable in lab to do integration and testing.
  • Have a customer mind-set.
  • Excellent English speaking and writing communication capabilities.
  • Self-motivated, driven, results oriented.
  • Ability to work in teams and support your colleagues.
  • Experience with programming and scripting such as Python.
  • Comfortable speaking up about work related tasks and describing ongoing progress.
  • Innovative, adaptive, and able to work well in a dynamic and complex environment.
  • Passionate about learning and expanding skillsets.
  • Excellent planning and organizational capabilities
  • Time zone and scheduling flexibility when working alongside those in other offices.
  • Microsoft Office capabilities (Word, PPT, Excel. etc)
  • Teams/Outlook Experience (for communication)
  • Experience with SQL, Power BI
  • Knowledgeable with advanced statistics
