We have a great opportunity within the Finance Department. We are currently hiring a Senior Financial Analyst within the Business Partner Support Capital team.
As the Senior Financial Analyst-Business Partner Support Capital, you will act as an advisor and business partner, and be responsible for providing financial planning, budgeting, and financial management and control services directly to your assigned Business Partners (i.e. Departments/Groups).
You will provide support in building financial strategies to support multi-year business and financial plans and lead the annual capital planning and budgeting process, including analyses and recommendation of their assigned Business Partner's 10-year Capital Plan that enables the delivery of TTC capital priorities and 15-year Capital Investment Plan that provides each of their capital needs over a 15-year planning horizon. This position will be preparing financial updates to contribute to corporate financial updates for internal Committees, providing insights on their Business Partner's financial and project health, performance, variances and forecasts, identifying risks and issues, analyzing root causes, and recommending mitigating strategies and corrective action to management
In addition, you will monitor, report and analyze financial performance, and provide oversight to ensure they comply with corporate controls to fulfil the TTC's fiscal management and accountability responsibilities and financial stewardship obligations. In this position, you will provide strategic and sound financial analysis and advice to ensure informed decision-making on Business Partner-specific policies, priorities and issues by management, the Board and the City throughout the year.
