We are currently hiring Senior Financial Analysts within the Business Partner Support Capital and Operating teams.
As the Senior Financial Analyst-Business Partner Support, you will act as a trusted advisor and business partner, and be responsible for providing financial planning, budgeting, and financial management and control services directly to your assigned Business Partners (i.e. Departments/Groups).
You will play a key role in building financial strategies to support the TTC's multi-year business and financial planning, while leading the annual capital/operating budget planning process. For Capital, the work includes, but is not limited to, analyzing and recommending your assigned Business Partner's 10-year Capital Budget and Plan, while supporting in the delivery of TTC's capital priorities and 15-year Capital Investment Plan. For Operating, the work includes, but is not limited to, reviewing, coordinating, preparing and supporting in the Operating budget submission as well as ongoing monitoring and forecasting activities.
This position will be responsible for preparing financial updates for internal Committees; communicate major issues and proposed changes between key stakeholders; offering insights to the incumbent's Business Partner's portfolio's financial and/or project health, performance trends, variances and forecasts; identifying risks and issues, analyzing root causes, and recommending mitigating strategies and corrective action to management.
Additionally, the incumbent will monitor, report and analyze financial performance, and provide oversight to ensure compliance with corporate controls to fulfil TTC's fiscal management and accountability responsibilities and financial stewardship obligations. In this position, the incumbent will provide strategic and sound financial analysis and advice to ensure informed decision-making on Business Partner-specific policies, priorities and issues by management, the Board and the City throughout the year.
