Job Summary:

NAVBLUE, an Airbus Company, is currently seeking a Flight Ops Engineering & Support to join our growing team on a 1 year contract.

The Flight Ops Engineering & Support - Performance role is responsible for activities and tasks associated with Navblue Aircraft Performance services, AODB Performance and Navigation and Flight Planning (NFP) Performance .

The analyst is expected to be fully competent or become fully competent with the following tools and in the associated areas of activity:

● NAVBLUE Airport Analysis tools

● Engine Failure procedure design and associated tools

● OEM Performance Engineering tools (PEP/BPS)

Navigation and Flight Planning (NFP)

This role also requires direct customer interaction to facilitate service delivery. A great deal of manual work is also part of daily production. The daily work and responsibility areas in the Performance Services group consist of management and interpretation of authority data, updating our databases, calculating safe procedures in case of engine failure, generation and loading of performance data for NFP, and evaluating performance limitations.


Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and manage customer information applicable to the products and services.

  • Evaluate and manage incoming Aeronautical Information Service (AIS) data.

  • Design, calculate and produce Engine Failure Procedures and Balk landing Procedures.

  • Deliver according to agreements concerning quality requirements, delivery dates and regulations.

  • Deliver according to internal agreements concerning deadlines and specifications.

  • Maintain and update aerodromes and customer airport obstacles databases.

  • Generate Performance Data using OEM tools and load them into NFP as per customer requirements.

  • Explore solutions for customer issues.

  • Participate in the development and documentation of internal workflow processes.

  • Work closely with the Quality team and Data Team

  • Participate and contribute actively to internal tool set development (Python coding/scripting).

  • Contribute/author guidance documents/manuals used internally as well as shipped externally.

  • Manage customer specific projects and present reports.

Experience:

  • Equivalent experience in airline operations

  • Experience with aircraft performance products (Preferred)

  • Flight education at Commercial Pilot's License (CPL) level (Preferred)

Knowledge, Skills, Demonstrated Capabilities & Competencies:

  • Education in Aeronautical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering

  • Team player - able to work as a team, understand and respect colleague's strengths and weaknesses, and take on leadership role as necessary

  • Self-starter, engaged and demonstrate ability to be proactive when dealing with issues and challenges

  • Analytical - able to find solutions based on analysis of tasks and problems

  • Multi-tasking - able to take on multiple assignments

  • Responsible, task and target-driven, flexible, and innovative

  • Able to adapt quickly to changing client requirements

  • Ability to build strong relationships with customers and team members

  • Clear understanding of Instrument Flight rules, or ability to become proficient with Instrument Flight Rules.

  • Clear understanding of Aviation literature published by states and Aviation Authorities (ICAO, FAA, IATA)

  • Clear understanding and appreciation of Aviation Regulations applicable to Aircraft Performance and operations.

Technical Systems Proficiency:

  • Advance level proficiency in use of MS office/G-Suite

  • Proficient in use of Airbus PEP, Fly Smart, NAVBLUE TODC or similar performance calculation tools.

  • Ability to become proficient with common technical and non-technical workflow management tools sets used by the department. (Freshdesk, Jira)

  • Database management (Basic SQL)

  • Basic coding/scripting. (Python)
