Tasks

  • Welcome and onboard new employees to promote their adaptation and engagement.
  • Maintain an active presence on the floor during breaks and meals to provide coaching, answer questions, and support employees in real-time.
  • Manage administrative tasks related to staff, including absences, tardiness, vacations, and leave, ensuring compliance with internal policies.
  • Supervise, organize, and track daily tasks while evaluating employee performance and providing ongoing coaching to optimize productivity.
  • Train employees in forklift operation, computer systems, and safety procedures, in accordance with established standards.
  • Manage workplace accident records, document them, and forward them efficiently to the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) department.
  • Collaborate with internal departments (operations, management, HR) to ensure optimal coordination and smooth processes.
  • Analyze employee performance to identify development opportunities and implement improvement plans.
  • Plan and organize human and material resources to meet operational requirements and client expectations.
  • Maintain regular communication with management, reporting activities, results, and actively contributing to the achievement of warehouse objectives.
  • Perform any other related tasks to support the team and contribute to the overall success of the warehouse.

Job requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in team supervision or management, ideally in a warehouse, logistics, or operational environment.
  • Knowledge of laws and regulations related to personnel management (e.g., tardiness, absences, occupational health and safety leave).
  • Proficiency in both French and English on a daily basis, in order to effectively communicate with warehouse staff.
  • Valid driver's license required for the position.
  • Ability to train employees in the use of equipment such as forklifts (an asset).
