Job Summary and Requirements

We are a dynamic team of professionals who are dedicated to the Yukon's vibrant tourism, arts, museums, heritage, historic sites, and archival communities and to their contributions to Yukon's quality of life and prosperity.
The Manager, Support Services is responsible for managing a broad range of programs and technical services provided to Yukon First Nation cultural centres and museums. This position supports heritage and cultural facilities in their growth in accordance with allocated resources and recognized standards and practices. The Manager supervises the Conservator, and the Collections Management Advisor.
Success in this position will require a unique mix of experience, leadership, education, and passion.
Temporary assignments with your supervisor's approval may be considered.

Essential Qualifications:

• Post secondary education in museums studies or related field (First Nations studies, history, cultural resources management).
• Experience with project management in the non-profit or government sector.
• Experience working with First Nations and familiarity with Chapter 13 of the Umbrella Final Agreement.
• Familiar with a variety of funding sources for museums and cultural centres. (Federal, provincial, or territorial)
• Familiar with contractors and consultants who have or can provide training in Yukon.
Candidates who have education, training, and/or experience equivalent to the essential qualifications listed above will be equally considered.

Conditions of Employment:
• Valid Yukon Class 5 driver's licence.
