We are currently seeking a talented individual to join our Property Management team. This position is for one permanent fulltime Supervisor Technical Support Unit and is based in the city of Whitehorse, Yukon working 75 hours biweekly.

As the Supervisor Technical Support Unit, you will lead a team of building system experts responsible for providing technical guidance on the design, installation, operation, and maintenance of government building systems. You will oversee advanced troubleshooting, ensuring all systems meet performance specifications and comply with regulations. This role is key to ensuring government facilities are built and maintained to the highest standards.

Essential Qualifications

Please submit your resume clearly demonstrating how you meet the qualifications below. Selections for further consideration will be based solely on the information you provide in your resume.

  • A degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, a Red Seal certification in a recognized building trade or a relevant equivalent certification (e.g. CET, PMP)
  • Experience managing a diverse team of specialized professionals, technicians or project managers (e.g. supervising, coaching, mentoring)
  • Experience interpreting building codes/standards and the development of building design standards and recommendations for commercial buildings.
  • Experience researching, analyzing, reporting, and/or providing recommendations to Management team.
  • Experience in professional Property Management will be considered an asset.


Candidates who have education, training, and/or experience equivalent to the essential qualifications listed above may be equally considered

Additional information

This is a designated position within the Yukon public service which requires the following condition(s) of employment and job requirements:

  • A degree in engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, a Red Seal certification in recognized building trade or an equivalent certification (e.g.CET or PMP)
  • Security clearance, including Vulnerable Sector Check
  • Valid class 5 driver's license
  • Travel within the Yukon
